How to Create Google ReCaptcha Keys
Please see instructions below on how to create Google ReCaptcha keys for us to add to your site.
Google Recaptcha helps to limit the number of spam form submissions you receive on your site. It won’t stop all spam, but it helps to reduce it. If you keep receiving an unusual number of spam form submissions (e.g. 5-10 per day), please contact us for an alternative solution.
Step 1:
First, you must have a Google Account, this can be your personal account or one connected to your business profile. You must be logged in to create a ReCaptcha key.
You can then visit this website: www.google.com/recaptcha/about
From here, you can then click the ‘Get Started with Enterprise’ button (see pink arrow).
Step 2:
In this next window, you can then enter your ‘Project Name’ (see pink arrow). We would recommend calling this either your brand name (e.g Reward Design) or your brand name ReCaptcha (e.g. Reward Design ReCaptcha). This is just so you can easily recognise it.
Once you have entered this, you can agree to the terms and conditions (see orange arrow) and click ‘Get Started’ (see green arrow).
Step 4:
You will then get taken to another screen where you can generate your keys. In the ‘Display Name’ (see pink arrow) you can enter your brand name then website (e.g. Reward Design Website).
Then select ‘Website’ under ‘Platform Type’ (see orange arrow).
Under ‘Domain List’ (see green arrow) you can type in your domain. This will be your website without the https:// at the beginning (e.g. www.google.com or rewardinc.com.au).
Once you have entered this information, you can click ‘Create Key’ (see blue arrow).
How to Create a Google Analytics Account
Please see instructions below on how to create a Google Analytics account.
Google Analytics helps to track the traffic of your website visitors, and can give you an overview of your most popular pages, what country visitors are from and even how long they spend on the site.
Step 1:
First, you must have a Google Account, this can be your personal account or one connected to your business profile. You must be logged in to create an Analytics account.
You can then visit this website: analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/#/provision
From here, you can then click the ‘Start Measuring’ button (see pink arrow).
Step 2:
In this next window, you can then enter your ‘Account Name’ (see pink arrow). We would recommend calling this your brand name (e.g Reward Design). This is just so you can easily recognise it.
Once you have entered this, you can choose which data sharing options you would like, (see orange arrow) and click ‘Next’ (see green arrow).
Step 3:
You can then enter your ‘Property Name’ (see pink arrow). We would recommend calling this your ‘brand name website’ (e.g Reward Design Website). This is also so you can easily recognise it.
You can then choose the correct timezone (see orange arrow) and currency (see green arrow) then click ‘Next’ (see blue arrow).
Step 4:
You will then need to enter some of your business details. The ‘Industry Category’ (see pink arrow) has a number of choices, or you can select ‘Other Business Activity’ if there is not an option that best suits your business.
Then choose your business size (see orange arrow) from the options listed. You can then select ‘Next’ (see green arrow).
Step 8:
This will open a pop-up window where you can enter your website details. Under ‘Website URL’ (see pink arrow) you can type in your domain. This will be your website without the https:// at the beginning (e.g. www.google.com or rewardinc.com.au).
Then in ‘Stream Name’ enter your ‘brand name website’ (e.g Reward Design Website). You can then select ‘Create and Continue’ (see green arrow).
Step 9:
This will open another pop-up window that will either ask you how to set up your Google tag, or it will automatically show the Google Tag code. This is what we put on the website so it can track your analytics.
If it asks how to set it up, please select ‘Install Manually’.
You can then copy the code (see pink arrow) and send it to us.
